POTA  -  Parks On The Air

PASSION
I have a great passion for POTA. It's simple, it's fun, and I get to visit many beautiful places. I also enjoy great QSO's with enthusiastic hunters and other activators (Park-to-Park QSO's).

ANTENNAS
On POTA activations so far (in 2025), it's been winter conditions, so I usually sit in my car using my ATAS-120A antenna. My car roof is mostly glass, so I had problems tuning the antenna (which is mounted on a magnet base). The solution has been to use radials, and I purchased the HF Counterpoise kit from WiMo, which made all the difference to this antenna.

For future expeditions, I plan to go for some Chameleon kits, including the Tactical Delta Loop antenna. Stay tuned!

A typical POTA activation wintertime, working from my car. Enjoy some QSO'ing and beautiful nature on my YouTube channel.

Activating POTA NO-2227 Thorsoema Nature Reserve was a lot of fun. Transmitting close to salt water gives some extra take-off. My buddy Ole-Martin is photographing birds, while I am On The Air. We are both nature photographers, and enjoy meeting up on scenic places for a cup of coffee and hobby activities.
